Special double issue of Cataloging & Classification Quarterly devoted to Indigenous Knowledge Organization

Guest editors, Ann M. Doyle, University of BC and Cheryl A. Metoyer, University of Washington are pleased to announce a special double issue of Cataloging & Classification Quarterly devoted to Indigenous Knowledge Organization.

The issue offers an international and interdisciplinary dialogue about Indigenous approaches to organizing and sharing Indigenous expressions of knowledge held in libraries, archives, and museums. It includes theoretical and applied research from New Zealand, Canada, and the United States on knowledge representation, classification, and metadata in Indigenous contexts. In 2016, we expect that it will be published as a book. Thanks to Sandra Roe, CCQ Editor in Chief, for the invitation.
