The Guardian article of July 16th “Whale hunting in Alaska: Point Hope, the village caught between tradition and climate change” is a documentary about the impact of climate change on the lives of an indigenous people, the Inupiat of Point Hope, Alaska, a village on the shore of the Chukchi Sea. The written report by Julia O’Malley and the photography by Katie Orlinsky were supported by a reporting grant from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting.
