Darrell Posey was a remarkable researcher, activist, and pioneer in the field of ethnoecology. Following his death in 2001, a group of his friends and colleagues established a fellowship in his name, in order to build upon Darrell’s unique vision. The fellowship reflects his academic and applied work in the field of ethnoecology and traditional resource rights, as well as his activism on behalf of indigenous peoples in Brazil and throughout the world.
