The Winter 2015 issue of Terralingua’s magazine Langscape: Vol. 4:2, The People’s Issue – Part Two: At Home and in the World has just been released.

Langscape is a unique voice for biocultural diversity – the interlinked diversity of life in nature and culture. It illustrates the value and beauty of biocultural diversity through thought pieces, reports from the field, personal accounts, stories, poetry, photo essays, and artwork.

Part Two of the “People’s Issue” series explores the many ways in which individuals and communities around the world experience the “inextricable link” between people and nature, and express their sense of place – both at home, and in the larger world.

Contributions range from a first-hand report on how some of the indigenous communities of Nepal are coping with the aftermath of this year’s earthquakes, to an account of how biocultural diversity conservation tourism is helping forest protection in Sumatra, to a vivid photo essay that illustrates efforts to preserve a coastal mangrove ecosystem by engaging youth in a multicultural community in Colombia – and more. The issue can be found on the Langscape website, where you can also view the full Table of Contents and the Editorial.
