The Charlotte Martin Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that provide services to communities throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. The Foundation provides grants to organizations that increase opportunities for minority youth (ages six to 18), with an emphasis on supporting organizations that value diversity, as represented by diverse leadership and staff. The focus is on organizations that offer innovative and proven ways to develop children’s skills in education, creative and cultural expression, and athletics. Grants are also provided to organizations that address climate change by focusing on the need to enhance the biodiversity of wildlife and habitat in the face of the widespread effects of a warming planet. Grants in both program areas range up to $25,000. The final application cycle for 2015 will be open from September 1 through October 1.
